Huskers Fall in Slugfest at Kansas

By Kaleb Henry Apr 10, 2024 | 5:51 AM

Plenty of offense but not enough defense Tuesday night for Nebraska baseball.

NU (22-8) fell 13-11 at Kansas (16-14). The Huskers are now 149-102-2 against the Jayhawks all-time, with the majority of those games being played as conference foes.

Nebraska used seven pitchers on the day as opener Ty Horn was chased off after allowing five runs on five hits over 1.2 innings. Only one of the seven hurlers for the Big Red did not allow a run during their appearance.

At the plate, Cole Evans and Ben Columbus both notched home runs as NU posted 12 hits.

Nebraska stays on the road this weekend with a series at Rutgers.
